Private and Group Lessons

There is nothing like the sport of surfing and learning to surf is exciting and fun! FCA Surf offers private or group surfing lessons if our surf camps don't fit into your schedule or needs. Every surf lesson is taylored to meet your requirements. Private lessons are held in the early evening or later in the afternoon as there are usually less crowds which makes for an easier and fun experience.

You will have a great experinece and a lot of fun. For your safety and to maximize your surfing experience use a professional instructor. FCA SURF is licensed and insured and is the only NSSIA Certified Surfing Instruction in the area!

A surfboard and rashgaurd of course comes with your lesson or may use your own board. Make sure that you have a minimum of  1 1/2 hours for a lesson.

Lesson Location

Surfing lessons are located at the South End of Ocean City at 59th Street Beach Lifeguard Station Parking Lot -South of the Public Restrooms at 59th Street.

Lessons and Pricing

A Surfing lesson is one hour and fifteen minutes long, includes the use of a surfboard & leash and a t-shirt.

Private Lesson/Individual
$65.00

Group of Two or Three
Two- $125.00
Three- $180.00
Maximum of 3 students to 1 Instructor Ratio

Group larger than 3
$60.00 per person up to six people with two instructors.

Private Group
Groups larger than six please call for a quote.

We cater to the specific needs of Private Parties, Birthdays, Corporate Team Building and many other events.

What to Bring

Water bottle
Surfing Gear—
Girls a modest swimsuit appropriate for surfing
Boys—cotton is rotten, do not wear cotton underwear as it will cause rashes. We recommend wearing good quality board shorts and/or adding Lycra shorts/Jammers.
T-shirt & hat, Flip-flops
Waterproof non-migrating 30 SPF Sunscreen
Sunglasses

Student requirements

Students must be able to endure a highly vigorous physical workout that involves swimming and must have respect for the power of the ocean, be in good health and willing to obey instructors. Every effort will be made for safety in and out of the water. FCA reserves the right to cancel lessons due to severe weather & waves, lightning or other conditions.

Enrollment is first come first serve basis.
